Lexus Safety System+

Standard on most Lexus vehicles, this is the most comprehensive safety system ever offered by Lexus. An integrated suite of advanced safety systems, Lexus Safety System+ is designed to help in certain circumstances, from pedestrian alerts to preventing lane drift.*

Lexus Pre-Collision System

Pre-Collision System

This system* is engineered to detect a vehicle or pedestrian in the path of your Lexus under certain conditions. Should the system detect a pedestrian ahead or determine a frontal collision is imminent, it’s designed to activate an audible and visual alert while automatically preparing Brake Assist* for increased braking response. If the driver does not brake in time, the system is designed to automatically begin braking before impact and, in some cases, can even brake the vehicle to a stop.

Lexus Lane Assistance

Lane Assistance

Lexus offers a variety of lane assistance systems designed to help keep you in your lane. Utilizing a high-resolution camera that monitors visible lane markings when an inadvertant lane departure is detected, Lane Departure Alert* is designed to provide an audible alert. In addition, Lane Departure Alert* with Steering Assist can take corrective measures with a slight pull on the steering wheel. Finally, Lane Keep Assist* is designed to help prevent drifting before it occurs.

Lexus Intelligent High-Beam Headlamps

Intelligent High Beams

To help provide greater visibility for you as well as other drivers, intelligent high beams* offer added illumination to help keep you focused on the road. When the road ahead is clear, the system defaults to high-beam mode, then temporarily switches to low beams when it senses the headlamps or taillamps of vehicles ahead.

Lexus Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

To help you maintain a preset following distance from the vehicle traveling ahead, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control* uses radar and camera technology to sense the speed of the vehicle in front of you. If the vehicle ahead slows down or you get closer than the preset distance, it can automatically reduce the speed of your Lexus. And, in some cases, even bring your vehicle to a complete stop. As soon as the road ahead clears, the system returns the vehicle to its preset speed.

Lexus Airbags

Built for the people they protect, Lexus airbags* are so advanced, they're designed to detect the seat-track position of the driver and front passenger and deploy accordingly.

Lexus Visibility Systems

Visibility Systems

For increased awareness, Lexus vehicles offer numerous ways to help you see your surroundings. From backup cameras* with dynamic gridlines for parking and maneuvering, to available features like the GX's front/side camera system designed to offer enhanced visibility around some corners, or the RX's and LX's impressive 360-degree view enabled by four cameras *. Lexus vehicles can help bring your surroundings into focus.

"5-star overall vehicle score for exceptional safety"*

"At 10:27 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, my LS 460 was blindsided by an 18-ton truck traveling at 70 mph. It left no skid marks at the scene. The impact tore the entire front left-wheel assembly off my Lexus, sending it more than 250 yards away, and spun the vehicle into the truck, crushing the rear. Fortunately, the entire cabin was left intact and I walked away without a scratch. Shortly after, I called my Lexus dealer and said, ‘Naturally, I want the same car this time around.*"
