VDIM

Multimedia

The Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) [1] system employs a range of advanced safety features to help prevent a loss of traction in turns and maintain control. When a series of sensors anticipates the potential for a loss of traction, the system uses a combination of individual-wheel braking, throttle activation and, on the GS 460, steering via Variable Gear-Ratio Steering (VGRS). The GS is also equipped with Traction Control (TRAC) to help prevent wheelspin while accelerating.

[1]Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) are electronic systems designed to help the driver maintain control under adverse conditions. They are not substitutes for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC and VDIM will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. Back to top
