Complimentary scheduled maintenance at 6 months (or 5,000 miles) and at 12 months (or 10,000) miles

SERVICE Your time spent behind the wheel is only one part of the Lexus ownership experience. Being a Lexus owner means knowing every technician who services your vehicle has met some of the highest service standards in the industry. It’s the flexibility of having numerous vehicle systems personalized to your specific needs. And it’s the convenience of knowing any dealer in the country can access your past and pending Lexus service records through a database that’s the first of its kind in the industry.
When you bring your vehicle into your Lexus dealer, you can be certain of two things: quality service and certified Lexus parts. Of course, there's nobody more qualified to install those parts than an authorized Lexus service technician. They specialize in the maintenance and repair of Lexus vehicles. In fact, many of our technicians are graduates from the Lexus Commitment to Perfection Certification program, where in-depth training and rigorous exams—from both Lexus and the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence—are required.

Another benefit of maintaining your vehicle at your Lexus dealer is the Lexus National Service History database. As long as you have your vehicle serviced at a Lexus dealership, there will always be a record of which repairs have been done and, more important, which repairs still need to be performed—no matter which Lexus dealership you take your vehicle to.

As you might assume, Lexus dealerships provide much more than great technical service. Many dealerships offer a wide range of luxuries, such as custom waiting lounges, Lexus loaner vehicles, complimentary car washes and free pickup and delivery. Some dealerships even provide concierge services and office areas for customers to conduct business in. It's this kind of exceptional treatment that keeps our clientele returning again and again.

Lexus has a wide range of amenities and programs. This list provides a short overview of the most notable ones:

  • Lexus Personalized Settings: Lexus vehicles include a variety of electronic features that can be programmed to your preferences. For example, doors can be programmed to remain locked when you shift into "Park." Depending on the model, programming of these features is performed once at no charge either at the 30-day/1,000-mile scheduled maintenance service, or the 6-month/5,000-mile scheduled service. Programming of some Lexus Personalized Settings requires special equipment and may be performed only by an authorized Lexus dealership.
  • Service Loaner Vehicles: If your vehicle must be kept overnight at a Lexus dealership for a warranty-covered condition that requires more than eight hours to repair, Lexus will provide you with a complimentary loaner vehicle.
  • Roadside Assistance: Roadside assistance is provided for 48 months from your vehicle's in-service date, regardless of mileage (24 hours a day, 365 days a year for vehicles operated within the U.S. territories and Canada).
  • Elite of Lexus: This is a special award for our dealers who excel at sales, service and overall ownership support.
  • Lexus Owner Welcome: New owners are often invited to participate in engaging events to introduce them to the service department and help build a stronger relationship with the dealer. At these events, customers can visit the Lexus Answer Bars (LABs), where they can learn more about common topics, such as hybrid vehicles, Lexus Enform®, the Navigation System and Bluetooth® technology.
Your Lexus can be enjoyed for many years with proper maintenance. To make taking care of your vehicle as easy as possible, Lexus maintains a comprehensive electronic library containing all of the product support information needed to maintain, diagnose and repair our vehicles. In one convenient place, you'll find complete service support information on every Lexus dating back to the 1990 model year.

Lexus has designed this online library to be easy to use and accessible on a subscription basis, with flexible terms to meet your needs. You can search for specific text across vehicle models and years, as well as publication types. New information is included as soon as it's available.

Certain electronic functions can be customized to an owner's individual preference, such as automatic door locks, theft-deterrent system, power window system, illuminated entry system and moonroof operation. Each Lexus model has a different set of customizable electronic features. Depending on the model, programming of these features is performed once at no charge either at the 30-day/1,000-mile scheduled maintenance service, or the 6-month/5,000-mile scheduled service. Programming of some Lexus Personalized Settings [*] requires special equipment and may be performed only by an authorized Lexus dealership. For more information, please see your local Lexus dealer.

The AAA For Lexus Owners Plan picks up where your current Lexus coverage leaves off, allowing you to enjoy the same roadside protection you've grown accustomed to—and more. Current Lexus owners can find additional information on this plan in the Owners Only section of this site.

At the request of Lexus, AAA has agreed to waive its customer enrollment fee for current Lexus owners, allowing them to join for the same dues as a renewing member would. SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE Regular service can help your vehicle perform to its full potential in many areas—from performance to resale value. So, to help you get the most out of your vehicle for years to come, Lexus recommends having it maintained at regular intervals by an authorized Lexus technician who knows it best.
Regular maintenance of your Lexus not only helps you achieve the highest level of performance, safety and reliability—it can also enhance your vehicle's resale value. The recommendations that follow will help ensure the full coverage of your warranty.

See your Lexus dealer for complete details on warranty coverage and maintenance schedule or refer to your Lexus Owner's Manual Supplement.

To help ensure your vehicle receives first-rate service and factory-authorized parts, we recommend having all maintenance performed by an authorized Lexus dealership service technician. They're required to keep up to date with the latest developments regarding the maintenance and repair of Lexus vehicles. In addition, many are certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence and through the Lexus Commitment to Perfection Certification Program.

When your vehicle is serviced at a Lexus dealership, its information is stored in the Lexus National Service History database and can be accessed by any Lexus dealership in the U.S.A. So if your Lexus needs servicing and you're out of town, you can be certain the local Lexus dealer will know all the important information about your vehicle. Having your Lexus serviced at a Lexus dealership can keep your investment paying off for years to come.
