MARK PFEIL

Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Mark Pfeil attended the University of Southern California where he helped lead the Trojans golf team to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. While playing for USC, Mark was a two-time All-American athlete and a member of the United States Walker Cup Team (1973).

After turning professional in 1974, Mark played the PGA TOUR off and on from 1976 to 2001. He made 375 starts and won the 1980 Tallahassee Open. Along the way he earned twelve top-10 finishes and had his career-best year in 1984 when he finished No. 69 on the official Money List with $101,878 in earnings.

In 2001, Mark placed No. 15 in the PGA TOUR Champions Qualifying Tournament, giving him eligibility to play the PGA TOUR Champions in 2002. He qualified again at the 2002 Tournament and played a second season in 2003. During his two consecutive seasons on the Champions Tour, Mark had seven top-25 finishes, including one in the top 10.

Mark lives in Palos Verdes, California, with his wife Diana and two daughters, Kimberly Ann and Kathryn.
