Regenerative Braking

The RX 450h ensures its batteries remain properly charged through regenerative braking. Energy that's normally lost as heat during braking, coasting or deceleration is captured as electrical power, which is then used to recharge the batteries. It's one more reason why the RX 450h never needs to be plugged in.
