Adaptive Front Lighting

A particularly useful feature when driving at night or during inclement weather, the available Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) [1] is designed to estimate and illuminate where the RX will be in three seconds based on vehicle speed and steering angle. In a left turn, the left headlamp can rotate up to 15 degrees, and in a right turn, the right headlamp can rotate up to 10 degrees.

[1]The Adaptive Front Lighting System can help improve vision at night. However, conditions such as a dirty windshield, rapidly changing light conditions or hilly terrain will limit effectiveness so the driver may need to manually change the high beams from on to off.
