A specially designed Multi-terrain Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) works in conjunction with four-wheel ventilated disc brakes to help reduce stopping distance and aid the driver in maintaining directional control, even during hard braking. Multi-terrain ABS can help detect the type of surface the vehicle is on and adjusts the ABS to help improve stopping distances.
Brake Assist [1] helps provide increased brake pressure when the system detects an emergency stop. By monitoring how quickly and forcefully the brake pedal is pressed, Brake Assist [1] helps compensate by automatically applying increased braking boost until the pedal is released. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) modulates the amount of brake force delivered to each wheel based on the driving condition.
