Active Front Headrests

The LX is the first Lexus to come equipped with active front headrests [1] for the driver and front passenger. In certain low-speed rear-end collisions, the active front headrests use the force of the occupant's body against the seatback to move the headrest diagonally upward instantaneously to help support the head, thereby helping to reduce the severity of a whiplash injury.
