Crawl Control

Multimedia

Crawl Control [1] is a remarkable feature that allows you to go places few other vehicles can. When activated at slow speeds, Crawl Control allows you to take your foot off the accelerator and brake pedal, allowing you to concentrate on steering.

When climbing steep slopes and rugged terrain, Crawl Control helps to maintain a slow, steady speed in difficult off-road conditions. In conjunction with the Active Height Control (X-AHC) and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), the LX can raise an additional three inches to help prevent the vehicle from bottoming out over particularly rocky terrain. By maintaining low speeds, Crawl Control is designed to allow the driver to concentrate on steering, while regulating the engine output and brake application to help control vehicle speed and prevent wheel slippage.

[1]The LX 570 is designed to meet most off-road driving requirements, but off-roading is inherently dangerous. Abusive use may result in bodily harm or damage. Lexus encourages responsible operation to protect you, your vehicle and the environment. Seatbelts should be worn at all times. Back to top
