Take along your favorite pastime with the LX's aggressive 8,500-pound towing capacity [1].

Conquer the toughest terrain by activating Crawl Control [2]. While driving over rocky terrain, this system controls vehicle acceleration and braking at low speeds, allowing you to focus on maneuvering the LX.

The LX is certified as an Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV II).

You have the power of a 5.7-liter, 383-horsepower [3] V8 engine featuring Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) for impressive performance.

The TORSEN® [4] limited-slip center differential quickly distributes engine power between the front and rear axles, which provides improved traction.

When stopped on an incline, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) [5] helps prevent the LX from rolling backward when you step off the brake before accelerating.

Improve acceleration and fuel efficiency with six forward gears and Electronically Controlled Transmission (ECT). A sequential-shift feature allows you to select gears with the feel of a manual transmission.

This advanced suspension system automatically raises and lowers the LX to an optimal aerodynamic position. This allows each wheel to react to the road surface and adjust ride comfort to your preference, regardless of speed or terrain.

Variable Gear-Ratio Steering (VGRS) automatically modifies the gear ratio between the steering wheel and the front tires, adjusting the number of rotations required to turn. At slower speeds, steering is more sensitive, requiring just a slight turn to maneuver the vehicle. At higher speeds, VGRS offers enhanced control.

[1]Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up properly and you have any necessary additional equipment. If gross trailer weight is above 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg), it is necessary to use a weight distributing hitch with sufficient capacity. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions and cautions from your trailer-hitch manufacturer and vehicle Owner's Manual. The maximum amount you can tow depends on the total weight of any cargo, occupants and available equipment. [2]The vehicle is designed to meet most off-road driving requirements, but off-roading is inherently dangerous. Abusive use may result in bodily harm or vehicle damage. Lexus encourages responsible operation to protect you, your vehicle and the environment. Seatbelts should be worn at all times. [3]Ratings achieved using the required premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher. If premium fuel is not used, performance will decrease. [4]TORSEN® is a registered trademark of Zexel Torsen, Inc. [5]HAC is designed to help minimize backward rolling on steep ascents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether HAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner's Manual for further details.
