Next-Generation Navigation System

The next-generation voice-activated Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Navigation System [1] on the LX utilizes a higher resolution eight-inch LCD. The interface was designed to be more intuitive, displaying a linear progression of your commands as you use different functions within the system. Even the voice commands are more instinctive. For example, after the tone, say, "Destination. Show me Chinese restaurants," and the system will display locations in your immediate vicinity. And once a destination is selected, the system will calculate up to three different routes, providing audible and visual directions as you drive.

The system also features XM NavTraffic® [1] [2], which can provide real-time traffic reports on specific highways or routes and even offer detours around congestion. Another convenience, XM NavWeather™ [1] [2], can provide real-time weather reports for specific cities and even automatically alert you of severe weather.
