Vehicle Stability Features

Multimedia

While conventional vehicle stability features wait until a loss of traction has occurred, the LS 600h L features the breakthrough Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) [1] system. Working with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) [2], VDIM can predict and take steps to help prevent loss of traction during a turn. When a series of sensors detects a problem, the system is designed to use a combination of individual-wheel braking, throttle activation and steering assistance to seamlessly correct the situation before a loss of traction actually occurs, thus helping the driver keep the vehicle on track. On slippery surfaces, Traction Control (TRAC) helps maximize the grip of each wheel separately to help reduce wheelspin.

[1]Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VDIM will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner's Manual for further details. [2]Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions.
