The dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence and Electronic intake vale timing (VVT-iE) [1] system continuously monitors the engine’s speed and load to provide optimum valve timing for all driving conditions. Both intake and exhaust valve timing are adjusted throughout all speed ranges to improve torque [2] and fuel economy while reducing exhaust emissions. The intake valves operate using VVT-iE, an electronically controlled system that improves valve timing even when engine oil temperature or engine speed is low.
