Pre-Collision System (PCS)

The available Pre-Collision System (PCS) [1] is equipped with a front-mounted radar sensor that can detect another vehicle traveling ahead of the IS Convertible. When the PCS computer determines that a frontal collision is unavoidable, it preemptively retracts the front seatbelts and preps the Brake Assist [2] so increased braking force is available the moment the driver steps on the brake pedal.
