V6 Engines
The IS 350 C is equipped with a 3.5-liter 306-hp [1] V6. The IS 250 C features a 2.5-liter 204-hp [1] V6.
Ultra-Low Emissions
The 2013 IS Convertible carries an Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV II) certification from the EPA.
Optimized Steering System
To ensure a consistent steering feel, we made many adjustments to the IS Convertible.
Four-Wheel Disc Brakes
The IS front disc brakes contain special ducts which help reduce the heat build-up that accelerates brake fade. The brakes are also equipped with Brake Assist [2] and a four–sensor Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
Direct Injection
Gasoline is injected directly into the engine's combustion chamber for better power and improved mileage.
Six-Speed Paddle-Shift Automatic Transmission
The IS Convertible features a six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission, controlled by steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, for faster shifting and better fuel economy.
Performance Brakes
The IS 250 C features floating two-piston front calipers for impressive braking power. The IS 350 C offers even greater stopping power, utilizing alloy four-piston front calipers, as well as larger front-brake rotors.
IS C F SPORT Model
The new IS C F SPORT model features exclusive styling as well as a sport-tuned suspension and steering by the same engineers who worked on the Lexus supercar, the LFA.
Dual Variable Valve Timing
The engine's valve timing is continuously adjusted to provide optimum power at any speed.
Optimized Suspension
The entire suspension system has been fine-tuned to provide excellent balance between ride and handling, regardless of the position of the top.
