ABS With Brake Assist

When the brake pedal is stepped on quickly during an emergency situation, this triggers the four-sensor, four-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist [1]. If the system detects an emergency braking situation and the driver does not apply enough pressure to the pedal to activate ABS, the system provides supplemental braking power. And to help provide even greater control, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) modulates the amount of fluid pressure distributed to the brakes.

[1]Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance and tire and road conditions. Back to top
