Pre-Collision System

Multimedia

The available Pre-Collision System (PCS) [1] is equipped with a front-mounted radar sensor that can detect an object ahead of the vehicle. When the PCS computer determines that a frontal collision is imminent, it preemptively retracts the front seatbelts, selects the "Sport" setting if equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), and preps Brake Assist [2] so increased braking force is available the moment the driver steps on the brake pedal. Integrated use of radar technology also provides the GS with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control [3].
