Engineers designed the ES with a tapered front and narrow gaps in the body panels, resulting in a low 0.28 coefficient of drag, among the lowest in its class. Other benefits include high-speed control and fuel efficiency, along with reduced wind noise. A specially designed cover mounted below the engine also reduces the front-end lift that often occurs as speed increases.
