Engine

The "450" stands for the equivalent engine displacement achieved through the combination of a 3.5-liter V6 gas engine and electric drive motor, which approximates the power output of a 4.5-liter V8 engine.

The 3.5-liter V6 is equipped with a newly designed direct-injection system to boost overall power and further improve fuel efficiency.

Interior

An elegant and astonishingly quiet interior means drivers enjoy the excitement of absolute performance in a luxuriously calm atmosphere.

Acceleration

The GS 450h boasts unprecedented responsiveness and excellent acceleration. Drivers experience maximum torque at a moment’s notice simply by pressing the accelerator. The 147 kW high-output electric motor delivers torque by means of a two-stage reduction device integrated into the Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT). This enables the GS 450h to begin producing sustained acceleration power in a shorter period of time than a conventional car. As speed increases, the V6 provides power while the electric drive motor maintains precise control of engine output, creating a smooth acceleration curve. Gear changes in the drive’s high-response rotation range are so smooth that the driver barely feels them.
