Luxury and utility have never come together more seamlessly. For 2009, the LX exterior comes equipped with privacy glass on the rear side windows and is available with a new color, Costa Azul Mica, a stunning light blue. Also new for 2009 is the addition of a Luxury Package that includes a unique African bubinga interior wood trim, center-console cool box, premium semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior, SmartAccess [1] [2] card key, and special Liquid Graphite-finished wheels and roof rails. Mechanically, the LX remains unchanged from 2008. Power is provided by a 5.7-liter V8 putting out 383 horsepower [3] and 403 lb-ft of torque [3]. The LX also offers a towing capacity that is one of the best in its class at 8,500 pounds [4], making towing the boat for a weekend trip a breeze. The exterior continues with the L-Finesse design that made its debut for the 2008 model year. The power folding third-row seating and optional Mark Levinson® Reference Surround Sound System [5] help make the LX more luxurious than ever.

When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a SmartAccess fob into the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle.
