LX 2009

Luxury and utility have never come together more seamlessly. For 2009, the LX exterior comes equipped with privacy glass on the rear side windows and is available with a new color, Costa Azul Mica, a stunning light blue. Also new for 2009 is the addition of a Luxury Package that includes a unique African bubinga interior wood trim, center-console cool box, premium semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior, SmartAccess [1] [2] card key, and special Liquid Graphite-finished wheels and roof rails. Mechanically, the LX remains unchanged from 2008. Power is provided by a 5.7-liter V8 putting out 383 horsepower [3] and 403 lb-ft of torque [3]. The LX also offers a towing capacity that is one of the best in its class at 8,500 pounds [4], making towing the boat for a weekend trip a breeze. The exterior continues with the L-Finesse design that made its debut for the 2008 model year. The power folding third-row seating and optional Mark Levinson® Reference Surround Sound System [5] help make the LX more luxurious than ever.

[1]The SmartAccess system may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you have one of these medical devices, please talk to your doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. [2]The engine immobilizer is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a SmartAccess fob into the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The engine will only start if the code in the transponder chip inside the key or SmartAccess fob matches the code in the vehicle's immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key or SmartAccess fob, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key or SmartAccess fob, your Lexus dealer can help. Alternatively, you can find a qualified independent locksmith to perform high-security key services by consulting your local Yellow Pages or by contacting www.aloa.org. [3]Ratings achieved using the required premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher. If premium fuel is not used, performance will decrease. [4]Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner's Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on the total weight of any cargo, occupants and available equipment. [5]Mark Levinson® is a registered trademark of Harman International Industries, Inc. [6]MSRP does not include delivery, processing and handling fee of $910. Excludes taxes, title, license and optional equipment. Dealer price may vary. Does not include accessory options installed by dealer. [7]Delivery, processing and handling fee is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Lexus provides, as well as Lexus' overall pricing structure. Lexus may make a profit on the delivery, processing and handling fee. [8]Performance figures are for comparison only and were obtained with prototype vehicles by professional drivers using special safety equipment and procedures. Do not attempt. [9]EPA MPG Estimates. Actual mileage will vary. [10]TORSEN® is a registered trademark of Zexel Torsen, Inc. [11]Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance, tire and road conditions. [12]20-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may be substantially less than 20,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. [13]Measurement of vehicle in Active Height Control (X-AHC) Normal setting. [14]Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. [15]Payload is the GVWR minus curb weight and includes weight of occupants, optional equipment and cargo, limited by weight distribution. Payload is not the Vehicle Capacity Weight as defined by FMVSS 110, which will vary according to installed optional equipment. [16]Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up properly and you have any necessary additional equipment. If gross trailer weight is above 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg), it is necessary to use a weight distributing hitch with sufficient capacity. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions and cautions from your trailer-hitch manufacturer and vehicle Owner's Manual. The maximum amount you can tow depends on the total weight of any cargo, occupants and available equipment. Back to top
