LS Model Details

For 2009, the LS 460 is available with all-wheel drive (AWD) in both standard and long wheelbase models. Utilizing a TORSEN® limited-slip center differential [1], engine power is directed between the front and rear wheels, providing improved traction in a wide range of road surfaces and weather conditions. The LS 460 features a 4.6-liter V8 that produces 380 horsepower [2] and is capable of launching the LS from 0 to 60 in 5.4 seconds [2] [3]. All LS 460 models feature a 4.6-liter V8 mated to the world's first eight-speed automatic transmission. This transmission allows for smoother shifting and improved fuel economy.

The exterior features 18-inch alloy wheels [4], crystal-like projector-beam High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps and dual exhaust outlets. The LS can be equipped with the Advanced Parking Guidance System [5] which enables it to parallel park or back into a parking spot virtually by itself. The LS is also offered as a long-wheelbase model that offers rear legroom. The Executive-Class Seating Package (available for the LS 460 L) includes a right-rear-seat recliner with multifunction massager and leg rest [6] [7], center-console wood-trimmed table and a DVD Rear-Seat Entertainment System (RSES).
