ISC 2010

The all-new 2010 IS C is also the first-ever IS Convertible. A power-retractable three-piece hardtop folds into the trunk in a mere 20 seconds, faster than any other vehicle in its class [1]. Sharing few exterior components with the IS sedan, the IS Convertible has a striking silhouette, top up or top down.

A double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension are specifically tuned for the IS C. Standard 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels [2] and available 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels [3] are also unique to the IS C. Combined with rear-wheel drive, the IS C was designed to offer excellent handling balance. Inside, the climate-control and audio systems are optimized for top-up or top-down driving. Heated and ventilated front seats with perforated leather are also available to help keep you comfortable no matter the weather.

On the technology front, a newly available HDD Navigation System [4] with voice command can understand casual speech. A mid-year update brings several new technologies to the IS C, including Safety Connect™ [5] [6], plus available Lexus Enform® [5] [7]. Available XM® services include XM® Radio [4] [8] [9], XM NavTraffic® [4] [9], XM NavWeather™ [4] [9] and XM® Sports and Stocks [4] [9]. Audio is enhanced with a standard USB input as well as Bluetooth® audio [10] connectivity for compatible music players, including iPod® [11].

IS 250 C models offer a 2.5L V6 engine with direct fuel injection for great performance and excellent fuel efficiency. The 350 C model features a 3.5L V6 with both direct and port fuel injection, allowing it to produce 306 horsepower [12] for outstanding performance. Both engines have dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) for improved performance and fuel efficiency.

The IS 250 C is equipped with a standard six-speed manual transmission. A six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is available on the IS 250 C and standard on the IS 350 C.

[1]Class based on Luxury Coupe, Hardtop Convertible segmentation, retractable hardtop competitors. [2]17-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may be substantially less than 20,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. [3]18-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may be substantially less than 15,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. [4]The Navigation System is designed to assist in locating an address or point of interest. XM® Radio, XM NavTraffic®, XM NavWeather™ and XM® Sports and Stocks require a monthly service fee and hardware. XM NavTraffic is designed to provide real-time traffic or alternative routes of travel; XM NavWeather is designed to provide real-time weather and forecasting information in your general vicinity and along your route of travel. Discrepancies may be encountered between the system and your actual location. Road system and weather changes may affect the accuracy of the information provided. Rely on your common sense to decide whether to follow a specified route. Detailed coverage not available in every city or roadway. Periodic Navigation updates available at an additional cost. Please see your Navigation System Owner's Manual for further details. [5]Contact with the Lexus Enform® response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. A variety of subscription terms is available; charges vary by subscription term selected. [6]The Safety Connect® services Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Location will function in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and in Canada. Enhanced Roadside Assistance will function in the United States (except for Hawaii) and in Canada. No Safety Connect services will function outside of the United States in countries other than Canada. [7]Lexus Enform® premium services Destination Assist and eDestination will function in the contiguous United States. These services may also function in Hawaii and limited areas of Alaska for vehicles that contain map data for those states. They will not function in Canada or in other countries outside the United States. [8]Functioning XM® Radio requires a monthly service fee. Please see your Lexus dealer for further details. Reception of the satellite signal may vary depending on location. All fees and programming subject to change. Subscriptions governed by the XM Customer Agreement available at www.xmradio.com/serviceterms. Available only in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. [9]XM NavTraffic® and XM NavWeather™ each require a separate XM subscription. XM® Sports and Stocks is available with an XM® Radio subscription. After a 90-day complimentary trial, you must set up the appropriate XM subscription(s) to continue receiving these services. The XM NavTraffic, XM NavWeather and XM Sports and Stocks services are available in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. For details about the XM service coverage areas, visit www.xmradio.com or call the XM Listener Care Center at 1-877-515-3987. To receive XM NavTraffic, XM NavWeather and XM Sports and Stocks services, XM service must be activated. To activate the service, call the XM Listener Care Center. Subscriptions are governed by the XM Customer Agreement available at xmradio.com/serviceterms. XM Radio fees, services and programming are subject to change. [10]Bluetooth® audio device must be enabled with A2DP and AVRCP. [11]iPod® is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. All rights reserved. [12]Ratings achieved using the required premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher. If premium fuel is not used, performance will decrease. [13]MSRP does not include delivery, processing and handling fee of $910. Excludes taxes, title, license and optional equipment. Dealer price may vary. Does not include accessory options installed by dealer. [14]Delivery, processing and handling fee is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Lexus provides, as well as Lexus' overall pricing structure. Lexus may make a profit on the delivery, processing and handling fee. [15]The engine immobilizer is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a SmartAccess fob into the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The engine will only start if the code in the transponder chip inside the key or SmartAccess fob matches the code in the vehicle's immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key or SmartAccess fob, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key or SmartAccess fob, your Lexus dealer can help. Alternatively, you can find a qualified independent locksmith to perform high-security key services by consulting your local Yellow Pages or by contacting www.aloa.org. [16]The SmartAccess system may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you have one of these medical devices, please talk to your doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. [17]The Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS) can be programmed in two ways: For most models equipped with the available Navigation System, the driver can modify the settings themselves; for other models, including those without a Navigation System, programming is done by your Lexus dealer via a one-time, complimentary offer during the first 12 months from the date the vehicle is sold. See Lexus dealer for more information. [18]The Bluetooth® technology phones listed on lexus.com have been tested for compatibility with Lexus vehicles. Performance will vary based on phone software version, coverage and your wireless carrier. Phones are warranted by their manufacturer, not Lexus. [19]Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) are electronic systems designed to help the driver maintain control under adverse conditions. They are not substitutes for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC and VDIM will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner’s Manual for further details. [20]Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance, tire and road conditions. [21]The Tire Pressure Monitor System alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. See Owner's Manual for details. [22]All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. See Owner’s Manual for further information/warnings. [23]Contact with the Lexus Enform® response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. One-year trial subscription available only with new vehicle purchase of Lexus Enform-equipped vehicles. Additional subscription terms available; charges vary by subscription term selected. [24]Coverage only available in the continental U.S. and Canada. See Lexus dealer for details. [25]The backup camera does not provide a comprehensive view of the rear area of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm rearward clearance. Cold weather may limit effectiveness and view may become cloudy. [26]Continuous average power, all channels driven, at less than 0.1% THD; 20–20,000 Hz. [27]Mark Levinson® is a registered trademark of Harman International Industries, Inc. [28]F SPORT™ Performance Equipment are aftermarket parts and are not Genuine Lexus Parts and, therefore, may not be used in any application that requires the use of Genuine Lexus Parts. F SPORT Equipment are warranted for 12 months from the date of installation or for the balance of the new-car or Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) warranty in force at the date of installation, whichever is greater, when installed by an authorized Lexus dealer. This warranty does not cover maintenance services such as replacement of brake pads/linings and clutch linings. This warranty does not cover noise, vibration, cosmetic conditions and other deterioration caused by normal wear and tear. F SPORT Equipment installed by anyone other than an authorized Lexus dealer are warranted for 12 months from the date of purchase only, and the warranty coverage is limited to the replacement value of the F SPORT Equipment. This warranty does not cover maintenance services such as replacement of brake pads/linings and clutch linings. This warranty does not cover noise, vibration, cosmetic conditions and other deterioration caused by normal wear and tear. Part failure caused by improper installation by anyone other than an authorized Lexus dealer may void the F SPORT Equipment warranty, the new-vehicle warranty or both. [29]F SPORT™ is a trademark of Toyota Motor Corporation. All information presented herein is based on data available at time of printing and is subject to change without notice. F SPORT Equipment are available exclusively through participating Lexus dealers. See dealers for more detailed information. [30]19-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may be substantially less than 15,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. [31]The air intake system has an aftermarket emission certificate only and cannot be sold or financed with a new vehicle. [32]With either the front- or rear-brake upgrade, the compact spare tire cannot be used. In the event of a flat, the tire must be repaired or replaced. Brake upgrades will fit 18-in factory option wheels, 18-in Genuine Lexus Accessory wheels or 18-in or 19-in F SPORT wheels only. [33]The Pre-Collision System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. It is not a collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, driver input and road conditions. See Owner's Manual for further information. [34]Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is designed to assist the driver and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. See Owner's Manual for important instructions and cautions. [35]Currently available PPO. Ask your Dealer Sales Consultant for vehicle application. Back to top
