IS C Model Details

The all-new 2010 IS C is also the first-ever IS Convertible. A power-retractable three-piece hardtop folds into the trunk in a mere 20 seconds, faster than any other vehicle in its class [1]. Sharing few exterior components with the IS sedan, the IS Convertible has a striking silhouette, top up or top down.

A double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension are specifically tuned for the IS C. Standard 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels [2] and available 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels [3] are also unique to the IS C. Combined with rear-wheel drive, the IS C was designed to offer excellent handling balance. Inside, the climate-control and audio systems are optimized for top-up or top-down driving. Heated and ventilated front seats with perforated leather are also available to help keep you comfortable no matter the weather.

On the technology front, a newly available HDD Navigation System [4] with voice command can understand casual speech. A mid-year update brings several new technologies to the IS C, including Safety Connect™ [5] [6], plus available Lexus Enform® [5] [7]. Available XM® services include XM® Radio [4] [8] [9], XM NavTraffic® [4] [9], XM NavWeather™ [4] [9] and XM® Sports and Stocks [4] [9]. Audio is enhanced with a standard USB input as well as Bluetooth® audio [10] connectivity for compatible music players, including iPod® [11].

IS 250 C models offer a 2.5L V6 engine with direct fuel injection for great performance and excellent fuel efficiency. The 350 C model features a 3.5L V6 with both direct and port fuel injection, allowing it to produce 306 horsepower [12] for outstanding performance. Both engines have dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) for improved performance and fuel efficiency.

The IS 250 C is equipped with a standard six-speed manual transmission. A six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is available on the IS 250 C and standard on the IS 350 C.
