GX 2010

The GX 460 is all-new for 2010. The 4.7-liter V8 is now replaced by a new 4.6-liter V8 engine which offers best-in-class V8 fuel efficiency based on 2010 FPA/MPG ratings of middle luxury V8 SUVs (actual mileage will vary) and is, remarkably, more powerful despite its smaller displacement. The GX is improved with its off-road capability with features like four-wheel drive, body-on-frame design, Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) (now standard), Downhill Assist Control (DAC) [1] and available Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). To further enhance its off-road composure, the GX is available with Crawl Control [2] that operates the vehicle's brakes and accelerator to maintain a slow speed in challenging terrain.

Inside, the GX has standard seating for seven, with power folding third-row seats. Features like standard heated and ventilated front seats, available heated steering wheel, semi-aniline leather trim, dual-screen Rear-Seat Entertainment System (RSES) [3], 17-speaker Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound Audio System [4] and three-zone climate control ensure ultimate comfort. The available Navigation System [5] now features a hard disk drive, voice command - a new, highly advanced voice recognition system, and offers XM® Radio [5] [6] [7], NavTraffic® [5] [7], XM NavWeather™ [5] [7] and XM® Sports and Stocks [5] [7] services. The available Lexus Enform® [8] [9] with Safety Connect™ [8] [10] feature enables the user to speak to a live response center for assistance locating a destination or get emergency help and available eDestination lets the user pre-select up to 200 destinations online and then have them sent to the vehicle.

Safety features start with a class-leading 10 airbags [11], active front headrests [12], Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) [13] and available Adaptive Front Lighting System [14], but continues with newly available advanced safety systems like the Pre-Collision System (PCS) [15] and Lane Departure Alert [16].

[1]DAC is designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control and speed on steep downhill descents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including speed, grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether DAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner's Manual for further details. [2]Crawl Control is designed for driving on difficult terrain at low speeds. It assists the driver by controlling acceleration and braking, allowing the driver to focus on steering. The [insert model name] is designed to meet off-road driving requirements, but off-roading is inherently dangerous. Always wear seatbelts. [3]A single-disc DVD player is standard. A separate DVD player or game system utilizing the center console‚Äôs video/audio inputs is required in order to use the split-screen function of the dual-screen system. [4]Mark Levinson® is a registered trademark of Harman International Industries, Inc. [5]The Navigation System is designed to assist in locating an address or point of interest. XM® Radio, XM NavTraffic®, XM NavWeather™ and XM® Sports and Stocks require a monthly service fee and hardware. XM NavTraffic is designed to provide real-time traffic or alternative routes of travel; XM NavWeather is designed to provide real-time weather and forecasting information in your general vicinity and along your route of travel. Discrepancies may be encountered between the system and your actual location. Road system and weather changes may affect the accuracy of the information provided. Rely on your common sense to decide whether to follow a specified route. Detailed coverage not available in every city or roadway. Periodic Navigation updates available at an additional cost. Please see your Navigation System Owner's Manual for further details. [6]Functioning XM® Radio requires a monthly service fee. Please see your Lexus dealer for further details. Reception of the satellite signal may vary depending on location. All fees and programming subject to change. Subscriptions governed by the XM Customer Agreement available at www.xmradio.com/serviceterms. Available only in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. [7]XM NavTraffic® and XM NavWeather™ each require a separate XM subscription. XM® Sports and Stocks is available with an XM® Radio subscription. After a 90-day complimentary trial, you must set up the appropriate XM subscription(s) to continue receiving these services. The XM NavTraffic, XM NavWeather and XM Sports and Stocks services are available in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. For details about the XM service coverage areas, visit www.xmradio.com or call the XM Listener Care Center at 1-877-515-3987. To receive XM NavTraffic, XM NavWeather and XM Sports and Stocks services, XM service must be activated. To activate the service, call the XM Listener Care Center. Subscriptions are governed by the XM Customer Agreement available at xmradio.com/serviceterms. XM Radio fees, services and programming are subject to change. [8]Contact with the Lexus Enform® response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. A variety of subscription terms is available; charges vary by subscription term selected. [9]Lexus Enform® premium services Destination Assist and eDestination will function in the contiguous United States. These services may also function in Hawaii and limited areas of Alaska for vehicles that contain map data for those states. They will not function in Canada or in other countries outside the United States. [10]The Safety Connect® services Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Location will function in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and in Canada. Enhanced Roadside Assistance will function in the United States (except for Hawaii) and in Canada. No Safety Connect services will function outside of the United States in countries other than Canada. [11]All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. See Owner’s Manual for further information/warnings. [12]Active front headrests can help reduce the extent of whiplash in certain types of rear-end collisions. [13]Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner's Manual for further details. [14]The Adaptive Front Lighting System helps improve vision at night. Situations such as dirty windshield, rapidly changing light conditions or hilly terrain will limit effectiveness, requiring the driver to manually turn off. See Owner's Manual for details. [15]The Pre-Collision System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. It is not a collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, driver input and road conditions. See Owner's Manual for further information. [16]DISCLAIMER NOT FOUND for tag LANEWARN [17]MSRP does not include delivery, processing and handling fee of $910. Excludes taxes, title, license and optional equipment. Dealer price may vary. Does not include accessory options installed by dealer. [18]Delivery, processing and handling fee is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Lexus provides, as well as Lexus' overall pricing structure. Lexus may make a profit on the delivery, processing and handling fee. [19]The SmartAccess system may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you have one of these medical devices, please talk to your doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. [20]The engine immobilizer is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a SmartAccess fob into the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The engine will only start if the code in the transponder chip inside the key or SmartAccess fob matches the code in the vehicle's immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key or SmartAccess fob, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key or SmartAccess fob, your Lexus dealer can help. Alternatively, you can find a qualified independent locksmith to perform high-security key services by consulting your local Yellow Pages or by contacting www.aloa.org. [21]Accessory roof rack with rails not recommended for luggage. [22]The Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS) can be programmed in two ways: For most models equipped with the available Navigation System, the driver can modify the settings themselves; for other models, including those without a Navigation System, programming is done by your Lexus dealer via a one-time, complimentary offer during the first 12 months from the date the vehicle is sold. See Lexus dealer for more information. [23]iPod® is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. All rights reserved. [24]The Bluetooth® technology phones listed on lexus.com have been tested for compatibility with Lexus vehicles. Performance will vary based on phone software version, coverage and your wireless carrier. Phones are warranted by their manufacturer, not Lexus. [25]Bluetooth® audio device must be enabled with A2DP and AVRCP. [26]The backup camera does not provide a comprehensive view of the rear area of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm rearward clearance. Cold weather may limit effectiveness and view may become cloudy. [27]Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance, tire and road conditions. [28]TORSEN® is a registered trademark of Zexel Torsen, Inc. [29]HAC is designed to help minimize backward rolling on steep ascents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether HAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner's Manual for details. [30]The Tire Pressure Monitor System alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. See Owner's Manual for details. [31]Contact with the Lexus Enform® response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. One-year trial subscription available only with new vehicle purchase of Lexus Enform-equipped vehicles. Additional subscription terms available; charges vary by subscription term selected. [32]Coverage only available in the continental U.S. and Canada. See Lexus dealer for details. [33]Continuous average power, all channels driven, at less than 0.1% THD; 20–20,000 Hz. [34]The Driver Attention Monitor is designed to alert the driver if a potential hazard is detected ahead and the driver's face appears to be turned away. It is not collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors. See Owner's Manual for further information. [35]Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is designed to assist the driver and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. See Owner's Manual for important instructions and cautions. [36]Intelligent high-beams system operates at speeds above 21 mph. Situations such as a dirty windshield, variable weather, lighting conditions and hilly terrain will limit effectiveness, requiring the driver to manually turn off. See Owner's Manual for details. [37]The Wide–view Front and Side Monitor does not provide a comprehensive view of the front and side areas of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm clearance. Cold weather will limit effectiveness and view may become cloudy. [38]Currently available PPO. Ask your Dealer Sales Consultant for vehicle application. [39]Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner's Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on the total weight of any cargo, occupants and available equipment.
