GX 2010

The GX 460 is all-new for 2010. The 4.7-liter V8 is now replaced by a new 4.6-liter V8 engine which offers best-in-class V8 fuel efficiency based on 2010 FPA/MPG ratings of middle luxury V8 SUVs (actual mileage will vary) and is, remarkably, more powerful despite its smaller displacement. The GX is improved with its off-road capability with features like four-wheel drive, body-on-frame design, Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) (now standard), Downhill Assist Control (DAC) [1] and available Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). To further enhance its off-road composure, the GX is available with Crawl Control [2] that operates the vehicle's brakes and accelerator to maintain a slow speed in challenging terrain.

Inside, the GX has standard seating for seven, with power folding third-row seats. Features like standard heated and ventilated front seats, available heated steering wheel, semi-aniline leather trim, dual-screen Rear-Seat Entertainment System (RSES) [3], 17-speaker Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound Audio System [4] and three-zone climate control ensure ultimate comfort. The available Navigation System [5] now features a hard disk drive, voice command - a new, highly advanced voice recognition system, and offers XM® Radio [5] [6] [7], NavTraffic® [5] [7], XM NavWeather™ [5] [7] and XM® Sports and Stocks [5] [7] services. The available Lexus Enform® [8] [9] with Safety Connect™ [8] [10] feature enables the user to speak to a live response center for assistance locating a destination or get emergency help and available eDestination lets the user pre-select up to 200 destinations online and then have them sent to the vehicle.

Safety features start with a class-leading 10 airbags [11], active front headrests [12], Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) [13] and available Adaptive Front Lighting System [14], but continues with newly available advanced safety systems like the Pre-Collision System (PCS) [15] and Lane Departure Alert [16].

[1]DAC is designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control and speed on steep downhill descents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including speed, grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether DAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner's Manual for further details. [2]Crawl Control is designed for driving on difficult terrain at low speeds. It assists the driver by controlling acceleration and braking, allowing the driver to focus on steering. The [insert model name] is designed to meet off-road driving requirements, but off-roading is inherently dangerous. Always wear seatbelts. [3]A single-disc DVD player is standard. A separate DVD player or game system utilizing the center console‚Äôs video/audio inputs is required in order to use the split-screen function of the dual-screen system. [4]Mark Levinson® is a registered trademark of Harman International Industries, Inc. [5]The Navigation System is designed to assist in locating an address or point of interest. XM® Radio, XM NavTraffic®, XM NavWeather™ and XM® Sports and Stocks require a monthly service fee and hardware. XM NavTraffic is designed to provide real-time traffic or alternative routes of travel; XM NavWeather is designed to provide real-time weather and forecasting information in your general vicinity and along your route of travel. Discrepancies may be encountered between the system and your actual location. Road system and weather changes may affect the accuracy of the information provided. Rely on your common sense to decide whether to follow a specified route. Detailed coverage not available in every city or roadway. Periodic Navigation updates available at an additional cost. Please see your Navigation System Owner's Manual for further details. [6]Functioning XM® Radio requires a monthly service fee. Please see your Lexus dealer for further details. Subscriptions are governed by the XM Customer Agreement available at xmradio.com/serviceterms. XM Radio fees, services and programming are subject to change. [8]Contact with the Lexus Enform® response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. A variety of subscription terms is available; charges vary by subscription term selected. [9]Lexus Enform® premium services Destination Assist and eDestination will function in the contiguous United States. These services may also function in Hawaii and limited areas of Alaska for vehicles that contain map data for those states. They will not function in Canada or in other countries outside the United States. [10]The Safety Connect® services Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Location will function in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and in Canada. Enhanced Roadside Assistance will function in the United States (except for Hawaii) and in Canada. No Safety Connect services will function outside of the United States in countries other than Canada. [11]All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. See Owner’s Manual for further information/warnings. [12]Active front headrests can help reduce the extent of whiplash in certain types of rear-end collisions. [13]Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner's Manual for further details. [14]The Adaptive Front Lighting System helps improve vision at night. Situations such as dirty windshield, rapidly changing light conditions or hilly terrain will limit effectiveness, requiring the driver to manually turn off. See Owner's Manual for details. [15]The Pre-Collision System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. It is not a collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, driver input and road conditions. See Owner's Manual for further information. [16]DISCLAIMER NOT FOUND for tag LANEWARN [17]MSRP does not include delivery, processing and handling fee of $910. Actual mileage will vary. [22]TORSEN® is a registered trademark of Zexel Torsen, Inc. [23]Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance, tire and road conditions. [24]18-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may be substantially less than 15,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. [25]Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution.
