GS Hybrid Model Details

GSh 2010

The GSh features an aggressive, contemporary exterior design complemented with luxury and performance. New wheels, grille and taillamps help differentiate the 2010 model.

New for 2010 is Safety Connect™ [1] [2], plus an available next-generation Navigation System [3] with voice command and Lexus Enform® [1] [4]. Available XM® services include XM® Radio [3] [5] [6], XM NavTraffic® [3] [6], XM NavWeather™ [3] [6] and XM® Sports and Stocks [3] [6]. Audio is enhanced with a standard USB input as well as Bluetooth® audio [7] connectivity for compatible music players, including iPod® [8]. Active front headrests [9] are also newly standard.

The GS 450h is the world's first hybrid performance luxury sedan. Powered by Lexus Hybrid Drive, which features a port- and direct-injected 3.5-liter V6 engine, electric-drive motor and Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT), the GS 450h produces an astonishing 340 total system horsepower [10]. The power is directed to the rear wheels to offer performance that is normally not associated with hybrid vehicles. Blue highlights have been added to the lighting and badging to differentiate the GS Hybrid from conventional GS models.

The GS 450h also offers an available Active Power Stabilizer Suspension System. The system can preload the stabilizer bars, making them behave like thicker bars when cornering forces are high. When the vehicle straightens out, the bars return to their unloaded state, offering a compliant ride.

[1]Contact with the Lexus Enform® response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. A variety of subscription terms is available; charges vary by subscription term selected. [2]The Safety Connect® services Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Location will function in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and in Canada. Enhanced Roadside Assistance will function in the United States (except for Hawaii) and in Canada. No Safety Connect services will function outside of the United States in countries other than Canada. [3]The Navigation System is designed to assist in locating an address or point of interest. XM® Radio, XM NavTraffic®, XM NavWeather™ and XM® Sports and Stocks require a monthly service fee and hardware. XM NavTraffic is designed to provide real-time traffic or alternative routes of travel; XM NavWeather is designed to provide real-time weather and forecasting information in your general vicinity and along your route of travel. Discrepancies may be encountered between the system and your actual location. Road system and weather changes may affect the accuracy of the information provided. Rely on your common sense to decide whether to follow a specified route. Detailed coverage not available in every city or roadway. Periodic Navigation updates available at an additional cost. Please see your Navigation System Owner's Manual for further details. [4]Lexus Enform® premium services Destination Assist and eDestination will function in the contiguous United States. These services may also function in Hawaii and limited areas of Alaska for vehicles that contain map data for those states. They will not function in Canada or in other countries outside the United States. [5]Functioning XM® Radio requires a monthly service fee. Please see your Lexus dealer for further details. Reception of the satellite signal may vary depending on location. All fees and programming subject to change. Subscriptions governed by the XM Customer Agreement available at www.xmradio.com/serviceterms. Available only in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. [6]XM NavTraffic® and XM NavWeather™ each require a separate XM subscription. XM® Sports and Stocks is available with an XM® Radio subscription. After a 90-day complimentary trial, you must set up the appropriate XM subscription(s) to continue receiving these services. The XM NavTraffic, XM NavWeather and XM Sports and Stocks services are available in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. For details about the XM service coverage areas, visit www.xmradio.com or call the XM Listener Care Center at 1-877-515-3987. To receive XM NavTraffic, XM NavWeather and XM Sports and Stocks services, XM service must be activated. To activate the service, call the XM Listener Care Center. Subscriptions are governed by the XM Customer Agreement available at xmradio.com/serviceterms. XM Radio fees, services and programming are subject to change. [7]Bluetooth® audio device must be enabled with A2DP and AVRCP. [8]iPod® is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. All rights reserved. [9]Active front headrests can help reduce the extent of whiplash in certain types of rear-end collisions. [10]Ratings achieved using the required premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher. If premium fuel is not used, performance will decrease. [11]MSRP does not include delivery, processing and handling fee of $910. Excludes taxes, title, license and optional equipment. Dealer price may vary. Does not include accessory options installed by dealer. [12]Delivery, processing and handling fee is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Lexus provides, as well as Lexus' overall pricing structure. Lexus may make a profit on the delivery, processing and handling fee. [13]The engine immobilizer is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a SmartAccess fob into the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The engine will only start if the code in the transponder chip inside the key or SmartAccess fob matches the code in the vehicle's immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key or SmartAccess fob, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key or SmartAccess fob, your Lexus dealer can help. Alternatively, you can find a qualified independent locksmith to perform high-security key services by consulting your local Yellow Pages or by contacting www.aloa.org. [14]The SmartAccess system may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you have one of these medical devices, please talk to your doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. [15]The Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS) can be programmed in two ways: For most models equipped with the available Navigation System, the driver can modify the settings themselves; for other models, including those without a Navigation System, programming is done by your Lexus dealer via a one-time, complimentary offer during the first 12 months from the date the vehicle is sold. See Lexus dealer for more information. [16]The Bluetooth® technology phones listed on lexus.com have been tested for compatibility with Lexus vehicles. Performance will vary based on phone software version, coverage and your wireless carrier. Phones are warranted by their manufacturer, not Lexus. [17]The backup camera does not provide a comprehensive view of the rear area of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm rearward clearance. Cold weather may limit effectiveness and view may become cloudy. [18]Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) are electronic systems designed to help the driver maintain control under adverse conditions. They are not substitutes for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC and VDIM will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner’s Manual for further details. [19]Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance, tire and road conditions. [20]The Tire Pressure Monitor System alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. See Owner's Manual for details. [21]All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. See Owner’s Manual for further information/warnings. [22]Coverage only available in the continental U.S. and Canada. See Lexus dealer for details. [23]Run-flat tire technology is designed for limited emergency use only. If air pressure is lost, vehicle speed must remain below 55 mph; cornering, braking and accelerating must be done with extreme caution; and the tire should be replaced within 100 miles. See Lexus dealer for details. [24]Continuous average power, all channels driven, at less than 0.1% THD; 20–20,000 Hz. [25]Mark Levinson® is a registered trademark of Harman International Industries, Inc. [26]The Pre-Collision System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. It is not a collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, driver input and road conditions. See Owner's Manual for further information. [27]Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is designed to assist the driver and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. See Owner's Manual for important instructions and cautions. [28]Currently available PPO. Ask your Dealer Sales Consultant for vehicle application. [29]18-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may be substantially less than 15,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. Back to top
