ES 2012

Sound dampeners, intelligent sensors and other painstaking refinements. By themselves, just parts on a list. But when combined with the kinds of luxurious amenities you've grown to expect from Lexus, the result is more than just a vehicle. It's an experience.

The epitome of elegance and performance, the ES exterior includes 17-inch alloy wheels [1] and side mirrors with integrated turn indicators. This year, a lustrous new color has been added—Nebula Gray Pearl. The interior includes espresso bird's-eye maple or brown walnut trim, ECO Driving indicator and light, Safety Connect® [2] [3], Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) [4] with cutoff switch, revised ventilation ducts and gauge bezels, USB connector and revised steering-wheel switchgear. The ES has a 0-to-60 time of just 7.0 seconds [5] and is powered by a smooth 268-hp, 3.5-liter V6 engine with dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) coupled to a six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission. The ES is rated for regular unleaded, and is rated at an impressive 28 mpg [6] highway.

[1]17-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may be substantially less than 20,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. [2]Contact with the Safety Connect response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. A variety of subscription terms is available; charges vary by subscription term selected. [3]The Safety Connect® services Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Location will function in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and in Canada. Enhanced Roadside Assistance will function in the United States (except for Hawaii) and in Canada. No Safety Connect services will function outside of the United States in countries other than Canada. [4]Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner's Manual for further details. [5]Performance figures are for comparison only and were obtained with prototype vehicles by professional drivers using special safety equipment and procedures. Do not attempt. [6]EPA MPG Estimates. Actual mileage will vary. [7]MSRP does not include delivery, processing and handling fee of $910. Excludes taxes, title, license and optional equipment. Dealer price may vary. Does not include accessory options installed by dealer. [8]Delivery, processing and handling fee is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Lexus provides, as well as Lexus' overall pricing structure. Lexus may make a profit on the delivery, processing and handling fee. [9]Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance, tire and road conditions. Back to top
