ES Model Details

The ES is the epitome of elegance and performance. The exterior includes 17-inch alloy wheels [1] and side mirrors with integrated turn indicators. The interior includes espresso bird's-eye maple or brown walnut trim, ECO Driving indicator and light, Safety Connect® [2] [3], Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) System [4] cut-off switch, revised ventilation ducts and gauge bezels, USB connector and revised steering-wheel switchgear. The ES has a 0-to-60 time of just 7.0 seconds [4] and is powered by a smooth 268-hp, 3.5-liter V6 engine with dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) coupled to a six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission. And for 2011, the ES gets a revised fuel requirement, now being rated for regular unleaded.

All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death.
